Version 4.8.0 released
Learn about the latest features added to speed up sync and changes to the Desktop version
You can find the Android changelog here.
The corresponding Desktop version released is 2.8.0.
Latest version contain optimization to sync analysis so it can analyze in parallel threads, this should significantly speed up sync in some scenarios where you have a lot of nested folders.
There is also a new folderPair create wizard to help new users configure a sync more easily.
For MEGA account users on Android they will unfortunately have to re-authenticate account and re-select folderPair folders. FolderSync is using new way to access MEGA since the old SDK used is no longer compatible with Google Play restrictions.
The last major change is good news for Desktop users - there is now a perpetual free version like for Android, but with limited features. The restrictions compared to the paid Desktop version is that there are only 2 accounts and 2 folderPairs allowed and automation/webhooks are not available.
